Atlanta SEO

What is SEO?

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is a systematic approach to gaining better rankings in search engine results. These search engine results are called “organic” listings and differ from the paid listings (Ads) that usually show up at the top, bottom, and sides of search engine results like those found on Google (see the image below).

For example, if you search for “Atlanta acupuncture” on Google, you will get a list of results (10 on each page) as well as the paid listings (and local listings for larger geographical areas – like Atlanta). For that search, you will see that our client (atlanta-acupuncture.net) is listed #1 in the organic listings (local results).

Why do I need SEO?

SEO is the most cost-effective way to attract new clients. Studies have shown that the top 3 results in search engine results account for 85% of the clicks from searchers. The clicks trail off rather quickly with the top ten spots receiving almost 100% of the clicks for searches. If you are on page 5 for your most valuable keyword phrase, then you will receive close to zero traffic to your website and clients will never even know you exist! It is imperative to have an SEO plan in place to attract business.

One of our clients, Buckhead Acupuncture and Herbal Center, has maintained the #2 position for years from the SEO work we have done for them. Earlier this year (2014), their ranking for their most valuable keyword phrase, “acupuncture Atlanta”, dropped from #2 to #6. They had stopped doing SEO and it caught up with them. They also lost ground on a variety of other keywords (they focus on fertility). The fertility acupuncturist went from 30 new patients a week to zero new patients! They contacted us and within a week, they were back to #2 and were ranking #1 for a variety of fertility-related keyword phrases. The phone started ringing off the hook and they have since added another acupuncturist to their practice.

Our SEO services will provide your business with the following benefits:

Keyword Research

The first step in the SEO process is identifying the most profitable keywords for your business. Usually, for local businesses, these will be “{your profession} + {your location}”, (eg. “lawyer Atlanta”)

but it is also important to rank for specific conditions as well as any specialties you have.

We will research all of your keywords and send you a report including our suggestions for the keywords you need to target. We use a variety of tools to perform the keyword analysis and we will provide you with all of the keyword data you need.

On-Site SEO

On-Site SEO is arguably the most important aspect of SEO. Your website must be designed from the bottom up with SEO in mind, but if it isn’t, don’t worry, we can help.

On-Site SEO factors include: Title tags, Meta description, keyword density, and internal page linking. It is also very important to organize the site in a way that is pleasing to both human website visitors and search engines. After keyword research, this is the second step in the SEO process.

Backlinking

Backlinks are links that point to your website from other websites. Google, and most other search engines, regard backlinks as a vote of confidence that your website has quality content. Getting quality backlinks has become difficult lately, but we maintain quality resources that enable us to provide quality backlinks for our clients.

Google has become very strict regarding link building and since their Panda and Penguin updates, have been penalizing sites with spammy, low quality backlinks. It is more important than ever that you build quality backlinks in a natural way to avoid being penalized. We only use “white hat” methods to build backlinks so you never get penalized.

Local Citations

Local citations refers to local business listings on sites like Yellow Pages, Google+ Local, Localeze, etc. For a brick and mortar businesses, like most acupuncture clinics, it is very important to show up for local search for your business’ locality. If you do not optimize for local searches then you are missing out on a ton of clients that are located near your business.

We use state-of-the-art tools to create, manage, and report your local citations. We start with the most important local search citations and build from there. Your competition doesn’t stand a chance!

Social Media

Social Media sites, like Facebook and Twitter, have become important SEO metrics in recent years. If you create great content, and that content is shared, it signals to Google and other search engines that you have value and your rankings will increase accordingly.

While we don’t offer a posting service per se, we can create over 50 social media accounts and set up your blog to be distributed to these 50+ social media sites as the blog posts are posted. This is an easy way to distribute your new blog posts across the internet. Search engines WILL take notice.

Reporting

As part of our service, we will create reports so you can see the progress in the search engine results. Factors that are measured include current rankings on Google, Bing, and Yahoo (the three biggest search engines). We will also give you custom reports on demand that include competition analysis, search terms, keyword density, and backlink amounts. We use a variety of software tools to work our SEO magic and we are sure that you will be happy with the results

We can work with both large and small clients but we will only accept one client per city, or geographic area, and per profession. This eliminates potential conflict of interest from happening.
